Profile
Vishnu Dhanda is a MSc student at the University of Calgary conducting research on additively manufactured composite structures for deployable applications.
During his BSc, he conducted extensive work on the Ouroboros Hybrid Rocket which won the category for Spaceport America Cup 2024. He also interned at Tesla Motors working on vehicle Exteriors and designed parts for the Model Y, Robotaxi and Semi platforms. His capstone with the Laboratory of Engineering Materials involved the development of a complete end-to-end system (hardware and software) to create a system capable of winding unique near-net preforms geometry at high speeds with no waste.
In addition to his academic career, Vishnu enjoys road cycling and carbon fiber bikes.
