Electricity Centre Event Support Program

Overview

The Electricity Centre Event Support Program provides funding to support electricity-focused events that advance knowledge mobilization, collaboration, and engagement across academia, industry, government, and other sectors.

The program supports timely and targeted events that create opportunities to share research, build connections, and strengthen collaboration across the electricity sector.

Funding

  • Up to $7,500 per event 
  • Three awards per year 
  • Rolling intake; one award available in each Winter, Spring/Summer, and Fall term. 

Eligibility

Electricity Centre Faculty Affiliates are eligible to apply.

Proposed events should have a clear connection to electricity-related research, knowledge mobilization, collaboration, or engagement and demonstrate relevance to the Electricity Centre’s mandate.

Eligible Activities

Funding may support activities such as:

  • Research workshops and seminars 
  • Knowledge-mobilization events 
  • Cross-sector forums or events
  • Conferences or other electricity-focused events 

Application Process

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis starting October 02, 2026, with one event selected for support each term.

Applicants will be asked to provide a brief description of the proposed event, its objectives, intended audience, expected outcomes, and budget.

Timeline

Applications: Rolling intake
Awards: 1 per term (Winter, Spring/Summer, Fall)
Maximum award: $7,500 per event
