Privacy Policy

  1.  The following data is collected by the TrackPack app from the user at the point of download/installation: age and gender. App-generated data submitted by the user (including images) is also collected. This data will be used by researchers at the University of Calgary for the purpose of identifying food and beverage marketing directed at children. It will also be used in academic articles, and to inform Health Canada policy. 
  1. The data and images will be stored on a secure server. Only members of the research team will have access to this data.
  1. The data and images will be retained for an undetermined time period, to inform on-going research projects examining changes in food marketing targeted at children over time. The user may stop using and/or delete the app at any point. However, any data (and images) submitted up to that point will be retained and remain part of the research project (note: the user agrees to this policy in the research project consent form).
